E-EDUCATION CENTER of National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”(NTUU “KPI”) was established in 2005 within the framework of project “Transfer of IT technology to Ukraine” of United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Ukraine.

The project “Transfer of IT technology to Ukraine” is aimed to answer the rapidly growing demand for qualified technology specialists in Ukraine by developing high-quality distance learning programs. This will be achieved by transferring to Ukraine the Japanese IT technology, and innovative expertise and successful experience acquired by the Polish-Japanese Institute of Information Technology. Trilateral cooperation between Japan , Poland and Ukraine is the basis for implementation of modern educational technologies.

The subject of activities of E-EDUCATION CENTER is:

  • The organization of e-learning form in the field of modern education technologies with the use of educational materials prepared by specialists of Polish-Japanese Institute of Information Technology together with Ukrainian specialists;
  • The methodical work for the improvement of educational materials for e-training of specialists in information technologies;
  • The organization of workshops, trainings and e-studies of separate disciplines for e-training of specialists in information technologies;
  • The organization of trainings in methodology of e-learning (within the framework of the Project).

The main activities fulfilled by the Center within the framework of the Project:

  • The Official Presentation of the e-learning Bachelor Program in Computer Engineering, in cooperation with Applied Mathematics Faculty of NTUU “KPI”, March 2007.
  • The Videoconference with the participation of Japanese guests – representatives of Foreign Affairs Ministry of Japan and the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine as well as specialists from Polish-Japanese Institute of Information Technology, March 2007.
  • The Press-Conference for Ukrainian mass-media on the occasion of the successful fulfillment of the Project “Transfer of TI to Ukraine”, organized by UNDP Ukraine, December 2006.
  • The videoconference with the participation of Polish-Japanese Institute of Information Technology, Ukrainian-Japanese Center, Lviv Polytechnic National University, December 2006.
  • The seminar-training in e-learning methodology organized for the teachers, who were involved into distant courses development, and students – participants of the pilot group, the event venue is Polish-Japanese Institute of Information Technology, Warsaw, Poland, December 2006.
